Some of probably don't remember this game....Its probably older than you.

I have gone super old school and am trying my hand at Zork I. I played it back on the C64, but never finished it. I don't even really remember that much about the puzzles. Anyway, this is a TEXT, yes I said test, adventure game. It was popular 20 something years ago. Just curious... Have any of you solved it?

That game is more like 25 years old and hell yeah I remember it spent every minute that I was not at school or doing homework playing (or should say reading Wink )

Me and my dad actually solved it. We used poster board and actually drew a map of the game while playing. The map was about the size of a queen size bed Shocked Guess i was trying to draw to scale. Laughing

I've heard of the game, but only because my aunt went crazy when she solved it like a year ago.

She is the most hardcore retro gamer I know. She's maxed the score on Galaga Shocked

LOL!!! And I thought I was the only one who did this... I used to have maps for Major MUD and all of the different tourneys of TW2002 from the BBS days... Bad part about TW was that every 3-6 months,, we'd regen the game, and I'd have to start all over...

You can download a C64 emulator and download the Roms (games) but I will not provide links or anything as it is piracy if you do not own the original games and so forth. I have one for Sega Megadrive but I do own a Megadrive and games but I really cannot be bothered to get them from the loft lol.

ARGH ME MATEYS

Nah I had/have all the classics, back then were games were fun Rolling Eyes Streets of Rage, Ecco, Sonic(obviously), Shinobi, Micro Machines, Pit Fighter, Pete Sampras Tennis, CHAKAN (one of my favourites and still is) and too many to remember lol.

About the C64 though we did have one and I was always engrossed in the 'LAST NINJA' series, along with '10 Pin Bowling' and 'Enduro Racer' I think it was called. Always that risk of the tape not working hehe.

How about the Bard's Tale games? I spent many a late nights playing that one. I mapped that one as well on graph paper. Geez what a freaking map, several sheets taped together. The teleporters made it mapping some parts a real pain! Evil or Very Mad I did find an emulator for the laserdisc video games, like Dragon's Lair and Space Ace. There was one at the theatre that I was hooked on called Badlands. Many a quarters passed thru that game from my hand... Rolling Eyes

I mapped out a lot of the Ultima games. I was a crackhead for those games. I have multi subject notebooks full of information...I guess I was a dork, but I like solving those games.
