It really hit me that I needed to upgrade when I did the specs test and I got this:
Processor: 2.4 GHz dual core or better is recommended
Comparing your CPU AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3500+ (running @2212MHz) with the requirement AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 (running @2400MHz)
• Your processor is significantly less powerful in raw performance
I'll have the graphics card covered in the upcoming months, so that's not a problem. |
hahahahha Damn that's harsh! SIGNIFICANTLY? |
I know. I think the program just TRIED to make me feel like crap!

I just ran it on mine -
1280x1024
Everything on highest or 'on'
No Anti Aliasing
16x Anistropic Filtering
And ingame I still fetched a constant 50+ FPS. I reckon I could bump it up to 2x Anti Aliasing.
Intel Core 2 Duo E6420
2GB Ram
nVidia 8800GTS
Vista Home Premium
Very well optimized game and that is BEFORE I use the hunkmeg console command that I guess is in this game too.

Just to let everyone know, until the end of the month Newegg is running some really great deals on Processors. I'm going to be grabbing one in the next couple of days for roughly 140-160 dollars. It's hard to beat the deals they're throwing out, so if you're having processor trouble, hit up Newegg before it's too late!

Graphics card is a bit naff to be honest. I personally would not buy one of them small cased computers. Causes nothing but hassle for trying to upgrade.
