For Athlon XP processor users. |

Copied from :[GOB]:FiveO from the :[GOB]: forums, thought you should know:
Quote: | If you own a Athlon XP like myself then you most likely ran into the mssmp3.asi error when launching COD 4 demo. Well it turns out that file is part of Miles which is COD's sound files and it has been optimized for 64 bit processors which is why there is a processor requirement for COD4. A work around for this is to use the mssmp3.asi file that came with COD2. All you need to do is download this file and extract it into your Miles folder in your COD4 installation directory. I thought some people might benefit from the info. After replacing the file I was able to play the demo just fine. Runs smooth as glass. Even with the textures turn all the way up. |
