I don't know about the rest of you tech-heads but I've never had good luck with Western Digital. I like Seagate or Maxtor. On the otherhand I've always like Asus mobos.

Thats a nice asus mobo... cant go wrong with the cpu either.

I would step it up a notch or two on the ram though. Spend the extra money there, it will be worth it. The Dominator sticks are sweet.... go with a better cas latency.

I always used to use WD Harddrives... never had a problem with a single one... although I have just chucked 3 of them for failing here on the home front. (Running 5 computers). I now use a seagate 320GB sata2 for now $85 at newegg. Only issue I have, is on boot it says its on a 3rd IDE channel and calling it an lba,ata 133 master drive. Although under harddware manager it says it is utilizing the sata drivers.... still I think it should run faster. I like both Seagate and WD.

I like the RAM Dosir, but I have to shave the cost a bit. I do want to get a new video card pretty soon. I know, I know, I probably should go with a cheeper mobo.

Hahaha Harry - This would actually be my first Intel build.

DOA - What's up with the 680i? Got any info?
