can't join servers.

haven't been able to connect to a map since last yesterday. just spent nearly an hour trying. I get into the load screen, and the progress bar hangs at 3 or 4 blocks no matter what server I try to join. wtf?

Dude. Seriously. I love you man but I have NEVER seen anyone have more trouble with there PC's than you! Laughing

I wish I could help but I've never had a lick of trouble with this game. Sad

I downloaded something from our server this morning and every now and again the game hangs in a sound loop then stutters and starts again Any clues ? I have tried my other games and they are fine.

What do you mean from our server? The only thing custom that goes client side is the maps. Was it a specific map causing you grief?

Possibly seeing as I only play on our server it could be one of the maps thats doing it,i will keep my eye on it.Is there any custom sounds coming down too ? I do sem to be downloading a wav file a lot maybe something disagrees with each other.

no go, man... totally frustrated. I try to load a server, then get a little red message on the top right of my screen that says "Warning: Connection Problems" and *poof* .... disconnected.

i uninstall/reinstalled, my drivers are current, and i've run my antispyware. it cant be my system... it can smoke this game. it can't be my connection, as I am on a 20 meg modem and all other stuff runs fine... no hiccups.

honestly... this is a bunch of shit. $50 for HL2 Ep2 that was beaten in one day, and TF2 which I've gotten to play MAYBE 15 rounds since install, and none of you are on when I am.

How is that possible? Have you looked at my hours played? I'm ALWAYS on! hahahahah

You're gonna have to do some googling. It's got to be something with your system or the game install. No one else is encountering this problem.

YEAH... ACTUALLY!!!

i got disconnected when i 1st joined, but then was rock steady. kicked some ass, too. whoo... you do NOT wanna be on the receiving end of my heavy.

anyway, i got my vent working too, but i keep forgetting to start it before I launch.... been so long since I used it
