I'm happy to say that the holidays are a great time for my stomach, as some of my favorite foods are on the menu. I make a majority of the stuff i like, and i thought we could share some of our favorites ( and recipes). I'm hosting my 1st holiday party (thanks to the new home), and am looking for some great ideas.

Ultimate stuffing (easy): stove top mushroom stuffing and long grain wild rice with california golden raisins and walnuts.
* stovetop and rice separate, then mix. boil the walnuts and raisins with the stovetop, ad pepper and garlic to taste

Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie.
here's a link to the same recipe I use (sub baking Splenda, use Ghirardelli chocolate morsels, and DOUBLE the pecans) http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Chocolate-Bourbon-Pecan-Pie/Detail.aspx
*the bourbon i've used has been Maker's Mark or Gentleman Jack.
- WARNING! this dessert is the absolute best I've ever had, and I've been around the World... TWICE.

Turkey Rotisserie, steak cut.

that's right, rotisserie turkey. then, instead of slicing the breast the traditional way, separate the whole cooked breast from the bird and cut it in 2 inch wide steaks. the moisture stays in the meat, and you freak out your guests because they thought there was no other way to serve turkey.

no I'm not gay.

There's nothing un-manly about being a good cook.
That is unless you wear a teddy and a pink ruffled cooking apron. Shocked Laughing

These sound really good!
I always deep fry my turkey.
I've had rotisserie chicken and thinks it's awsome, so I would guess the turkey is just as good.
I love pecan pie with ice cream or cool whip.

Your 1st holiday as the host.
Hmmm, you might want to invite all of us over this weekend so we can try your cooking in advance.
We'll give you a honest evaluation. Wink Razz

HMMM....

WAIT TILL INCOG SEES THIS...

GOOD THING BIG DAWG IS IN HIBERNATION...

COUPLE THINGS THAT COME TO MIND ARE:

-MARTHA 10K
-10K RAE
-10K KROCKER

JUST A FEW

AND 10K, YOU MIGHT NOT BE GAY...BUT IT IS KIND QUEER TALKING ABOUT RECIEPS

BUT ILL ADD TO THE JOY:

I ALWAYS LOVE MY COCA-COLA POT ROAST! (VERY EASY)

-1 CAN COKE
-ONION
-BAG OF MINI CARROTS
-RED SKINED TATORS
-ROAST (VARIOUS SIZE DEPENDING ON # BEING FEED)
-CELERY STALK
-HALF OF BOTTLE OF "KRAFT" ORIGINAL BBQ SAUCE
-ADD, SALT, PEEPER, AND ANY OTHER SEASONINGS AS DESIRED

THROW IT ALL IN THE CROCK AND COOK ON LOW ALL DAY (OR IF YOUR CROCK POT IS LIKE MINE, HALF WILL DO IT)

GET A GOOD LOAF OF YOUR FAV. BREAD! AND BAM! YOUR DONE!
ALMOST LIKE A GOOD DIPPING STEW AFTER ITS DONE!! (MOUTH IS WATERING NOW)

I USUALLY THROW THIS ON BEFORE WE HEAD TO THE MALLS OR WHATEVER TO SHOP... GET HOME AND DONE!!!

A VERY TASTY AND EASY MEAL TO EAT DURING THE HOLIDAYS!!!
