NEW BANNERS FOR THE FORUMS... |

ok all you Photoshop and Gimp users....it is time that we start expanding our banners on the forums. I want all of you to come up with at least 1 new banner for the forums. With COD4 and UT3 coming out very soon, we can stand a little renovation to update to these new games....let's see what you all have in your bag of tricks and let's all come up with some new banners to place here on the forums!! creativity is a must!! COME ON ALL YOU PEEP"S, LET'S SEE WHAT YA GOT!!!!

I have a couple of cod 4 pics that are on my other pc .When it gets a new psu in at the weekend I will have a go.

Actually I think these banners are causing the forums to be slow I was going to ask freak about that.If you notice it starts off ok then after you have read a post its like 6 clicks back to return to a page as 4 or 5 different banners have loaded or the times we are sat waiting with a blank banner waiting to load .This is a problem a few of us have I tried it on different pc's and connections.Myself I would rather see the forums back loading fast than waiting for pictures to load.

Is it a java script or something that is loading random banners? Maybe graphics are at different sites? I've noticed that as well.

Yes, if you look at the page source code (View -> Page Source, in FireFox) you'll see where the java script coding is. I don't believe it's the coding that slows down the page load, but the actual content that's loading. Does it occur more in postings when people are displaying more pictures? I think that is when you'll get the most slow down. IE: SGTHOLINTHED's post with pictures takes the longest due to all of the pictures, and many aren't optimized for the net. Our banners appear to be net friendly though. Just my observations and thoughts.
