You gotta love the Marines! |

Katie Couric, while interviewing a Marine sniper, asked :
'What do you feel when you shoot a Terrorist?'
The Marine shrugged and replied,
'A slight recoil.'

Nice . My wife's company has developed a portable unit attached to the soldiers gun to Identify The direction and location of the source of incoming rounds. Such as campers ..uh ...I mean snipers. They are waiting for approval from the Gov. for a contract to produce it for the military.

Good answer... I'm certain Ms. Couric was looking for the "humanizing" angle on that question, and I'm glad she didn't get it... Would have just been more fuel for the anti-war, anti-Bush, anti-military or some other anti- camp out there in lala land...

I'm suprised Katie and Matt didn't try to make him look like the bad guy, and try to make the terrorists look like the victims.

How do you know they haven't?! I haven't heard of them asking any terrorist how he feels when he beheads another victim.

Easy boys and girls. Katie never asked the question. This statement has been around since I was in the Corps. No one knows who asked the question or who made the statement. It motivating none the less.
If you people want something to be POed about just read this http://worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=59992

Hmmm, I took a chance that it might be one of those "urban legend" posts, but I liked it so much I had to post it.
As for Berkeley, when did we stop hanging traitors and why?!

This is the exact email I sent to the Mayor and City Council of Berkley.......
"Direct the City Attorney to investigate and report back to Council within 60 days on City options for enforcing Chapter 13.28 of the Berkeley Municipal Code, prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, with respect to military recruiting offices in Berkeley;
Direct the City Manager to send letters to the Marine Corps Recruiting Station at 64 Shattuck Avenue and to General James T. Conway, Commandant of the United States Marine Corps, advising them that the Marine recruiting office is not welcome in our city, and if recruiters choose to stay, they do so as uninvited and unwelcome intruders; Abstain – Worthington.
Encourage all people to avoid cooperation with the Marine Corps recruiting station, and applaud residents and organizations such as Code Pink, that may volunteer to impede, passively or actively, by nonviolent means, the work of any military recruiting office located in the City of Berkeley.
Shame or you. Shame on your City Council. This is a twisted interpitation of the original intent of our constituton. You slap the face of the very people who protect you right to free speech. You state you are retired Army, did you also retire your pride? Many do not believe in the war, but to show such blatant disrespect to our Armed Forces is intolerable. Protest the President, protest Congress, protest the Senate, but not our Armed Forces, who have to do as ordered, as you must have forgotten.
Please leave our country. Please take your city council with you, as you are now univited and unwelcome intruders."

I'm thinking that if just 1 platoon in full dress uniforms showed up, that would probably slow the code-pinko's just a tad...
But if for some reason it didn't, then maybe show up the next week in full battle gear, and forget the rules of engagement...
