Here is the error signature

AppName: zune.exe AppVer: 2.3.1338.0 AppStamp:47881ace
ModName: kernel32.dll ModVer: 5.2.3790.4062 ModStamp:462643a7
fDebug: 0 Offset: 000000000000dd10

Anybody know how to fix this error?

Been surfing zune forums, and so far no one's figured how to fix it.

And if anyone's thinking about it....I will not return my zune. I've had it for more than a year now, and it's been good until I tried to update. Software isn't really compatible with my OS, Windows XP 64-pro. I found a way around it but whenever I try to load the program, I get the error above.

Is the way around it running it in compatibility mode for something other than xp 64? I still use the 32 bit version, does the 64 bit version offer the option of running it in 32 bit compatabilty mode? If not, try 98.

How do u change compatibility modes?

EDIT: Do you change it by right-clicking the icon and opening up properties then go to the compatibility tab?
If it is, there's no tab for compatibility.

Well i ran the compatibility wizard and nothing worked. The Zune folder is in the Program files folder and not the Program files(x86) folder. Would that affect anything?

I recently spoke to a co-worker who has a zune, and said ever since she updated her zune, she's had problems. Hasn't killed it, just a major irritation. She mentioned she wasn't the only one. I don't know, but maybe there is a way to revert the version and remove the update. Sounds like a bad update. Sad

I just don;t understand why microsoft would make a product that is not compatible with one of its OS's. Makes no sense to me.

The new look of the zune software is nice, I just wish they would make it compatible with more OS's.
