This game seems to have issues with graphic settings for most people.
Hopefully they will get some fixes in the near future.
If you get lag, set all your video settings as low as they will go.
If you don't like the looks, then start increasing one video setting at a time until you like it.
I had to set everything low and then moved a few to medium and am happy with it.

Also the game really is fun, but a little confusing at first, but gets better.
I suggest gaming with Slinginglead or Fate as they are great at helping you learn the ropes.
That's why we always make them squad leader. 8-)

The game is basically a capture the base type of game.
There are lots of bases all around the world, and you can try and take any of them.
Which is really fun as a squad.

There are 3 teams and each team is made of as many squads as wanted.
Since we can have a squad as big as we want, that means we can have ALL uZa gamers in one squad.

Game play is done with your choice of different soldier types; Medic, Heavy, Engineer, etc...
Battle is done on foot or by land and air vehicles, all your choice.
Basically it feels like Call of Duty but on a whole world scale instead of a single map.

The game is FREE, so let's get some more uZa gamers in here! 8-)

Personally, it doesn't feel a bit like Call of Duty to me. It has a great mix of strategy and FPS. The game is confusing at first, but once the server activity dropped, I got a chance to really get myself familiar with the mechanics.

I love the strategy aspect of it, and the tactical map system is fantastic. Watching vehicles fly over my head added to the already epic look of the maps, which themselves are incredible. The maps are gigantic, and it is HIGHLY inadvisable to travel by foot.

Still trying to work out the small-arms game play. I'm terrible at long range engagements. Had a lot of fun flying the gunships and planning our strategy.

I was already losing interest in BF3, and now I think my interest is utterly depleted. Once you get used to this game, it gets pretty addicting. Battlefield has a better physics engine that supports destruction, a better, more dynamic sound engine and overall graphics, but all that does not top the whole of Planetside 2. It's features outweigh BF3 by a good margin, imo, especially for the fact that after putting so much time and effort into this game, the developers just gave it to us.

I hope to play some more this weekend, but I'll be busy for most of it. I still would love the idea of adding giant alien monsters to the game. That would add whole new kind of epic to this game. :)

That was a blast last night, we took over a lot of bases!
Great job Slinginglead as the group leader!
As always, Slinginglead or Fate are awesome group leaders.

And MrBrightside is one bad azz pilot!
Was really fun having the air support.

We need more uZa gamers so we can really kick some butt as a platoon! 8-)

Free Game, Good Times!

You can also download the game from www.planetside2.com its nice to see more of you guys joining the game. I kept posting about the game back in Jan of last year. I've been in game since first beta (comp tech specs) if anyone needs help on flying or tanks let me know. I've been an officer in airwing division and tank Commander. However I'd rather have sling or F8 for squad/platoon leader's.
