Some prescient quotes from one of our Founding Fathers:
When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe . Thomas Jefferson
The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not. Thomas Jefferson
It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world. Thomas Jefferson
I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them. Thomas Jefferson
My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government. Thomas Jefferson
No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. Thomas Jefferson
The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government. Thomas Jefferson
The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. Thomas Jefferson
To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical. Thomas Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:
'I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.'

I have a eye opener for you all if you care to watch. I just got done watching this and OMG. I didn't vote for Obama but I WAS trying to give him a chance cause he's new. I was wrong and now some of this scares the hell out of me (Video 10 I had to stop watching and walk around for a few mins). Anyways This video is almost 2 hours long so if you have the time, check it out. If you don't want to watch the whole thing watch from Video 9 thru 11. Video 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zS2VXnv2 ... 6B&index=1Video 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gyq7sTGA ... 6B&index=2Video 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BaTmu0n7 ... 6B&index=3Video 4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBYLZDHZ ... 6B&index=4Video 5: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmvP0X9u ... 6B&index=5Video 6: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNgLfqmQ ... 6B&index=6Video 7: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70k2qpIY ... 6B&index=7Video 8: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HRtZuvl6 ... 6B&index=0Video 9: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HkfwauR ... 6B&index=8Video 10: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLbmxBux ... 6B&index=9At marker 0:53 - 1:03 you can't see the writing but I found some of it and here is what it says: "America Serves "When you choose to serve -- whether it's your nation, your community or simply your neighborhood -- you are connected to that fundamental American ideal that we want life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness not just for ourselves, but for all Americans. That's why it's called the American dream." The Obama Administration will call on Americans to serve in order to meet the nation’s challenges. President-Elect Obama will expand national service programs like AmeriCorps and Peace Corps and will create a new Classroom Corps to help teachers in underserved schools, as well as a new Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, and Veterans Corps. Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to REQUIRE 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college EVERY YEAR. Obama will encourage retiring Americans to serve by improving programs available for individuals over age 55, while at the same time promoting youth programs such as Youth Build and Head Start. Video 11: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTwAWug3 ... B&index=10I hope this will inform you of what could, can or WILL happen. "The Answer to 1984 is 1776"

Quoting President Obama: "You know, there was a lot of outrage and finger-pointing last week, and much of it is understandable," Obama said of the bonus issue in his opening remarks. "I'm as angry as anybody about those bonuses that went to some of the very same individuals who brought our financial system to its knees." "Bankers and executives on Wall Street need to realize that enriching themselves on the taxpayers' dime is inexcusable, that the days of outsized rewards and reckless speculation that puts us all at risk have to be over," the president told reporters and the nation. Why can't he think the same way about our Federal government?

{uZa}Col. Hogan wrote: Ah hell, why bother, it's a losing cause!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.foxnews.com/video2/video08.h ... 60,00.htmlI think most of us feel the same way, but thankfully there is a grass roots movement that is starting to sweep the nation. It's always the squeaky wheel that gets oiled. I just hope we can start getting as loud "squeaky" and demanding as the very few that are pushing us toward a socialist, athiest (as in no religious freedom), and moral bankrupt country! 1. A big Federal government will destroy the foundation of this country and most of our freedoms! 2. Freedom of religion includes all religions, you should have the right to believe in a creator, a big bang evolution, or that you are God if that is what you wish! 3. Turning from our Christian heritage and making Christian values seem evil or making them illegal is ignoring the fact that they are what made this country as great as it is! 4. All values can be influenced by a persons belief in origins, if those values are supported by the Holy Bible WHO CARES! See # 2 and 3 above. Are you offended by Christian values? Well suck it up you big baby! Not everyone is going to believe the same as you, so grow up! 5. As possible, every american should be trained with guns and we should have the right to own them! 6. We need a balanced budget, this debt cannot keep growing! I don't care if it means we need a recession, it's only going to be worse if it keeps growing! Forget about making your Political Party look good, start making our Country look good! I'm ready for a tea party! Let's start by throwing all Republicans and Democrats in the river! And that's my two cents!

Well this is a political issues, dosent specify US only Soo. My Province, US's biggest supplier of Oil, and the largest Oil Sands outside the Middle East. we're just starting to feel the effects of the recession, but we are just gonna have to see how bad it gets or if it caps off. Alberta Is the money bin, Ottawa has been coming to alberta for quite some time for money lol, we bail out the French ever year. It isnt all that bad though there is still plenty of work due to the Population Boom, Calgarys population rised by 100 thousand in the past 8 years. Yesterday Suncor and Petro-Canada, Suncor runs much of the refining in the oil sands, Merged for close to 20 billion dollars, alot of money is still to be made over here in the Oil. I would like to get some Refinery work in the next few years, pays good. Looking forward to seeing what jobs the Carbon capture programs will create under the new Green Plan, Harper and Obama set. If anyone here has experience in the Oil field, you should check out the work in Alberta, or even if all your experience with oil is just complaining about it, there is work for that to here
