If you need assistance, I can help and see if what worked for him works for you. We'll first download the game to your computer and unzip it, and then go from there and see how it sets up for you. Innocent, I've never been able to get COD2 working on Win10, (nor was I able to on Win8/8.1) I scoured around and tried all the tips and tricks floating around out there I could fine. I'd be interested in seeing what you did to get Violator working. You can email me at <email removed> or hit me up on the Rainmeter irc channel I'm on pretty much all the time at http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=rainmeter if you need to get me something.

I now have two W10 computers working. I did USMCWhiteKnight on Saturday, and he was able to play a few rounds with us.
If you need the download, please contact me, I will provide, but I will not post on the forums or share via websites as this download is over 3.6GB and is essential the whole game zipped up.
You simply unzip the file into your Activision folder, it will create the Call of Duty 2 folder and it will have the latest patches installed.
The trick is to download my zipped COD2 file and extract. I have created one that will work with W10. Once fully extracted, you just need to right click on the CoD2MP_s.exe do troubleshoot compatibility, you need admin privileges and you need to say it worked on a previous version of windows and select Windows XP Service Pack 3. This contains a bland config file, I have noticed errors with fully customized config files, so this config file should be left alone the first time running it, allow it to change your system configuration in the config file because it will detect different hardware. After that configuration change you just need to enter your keycode, change your name, and you are good to go and can join the server. If you want to get magical you can go edit and change your config and such, but if it stops working, you need to go figure out what you put in the config file that makes it stop working.
I hope this helps, let me know if you have any issues!

Ok, getting the file now. I'll let you know how it goes.
I assume that will be C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision ?

Works like a champ Innocent! Think I will play some single player first, since I have completely forgotten how to play this damn game.. I haven't quite figured out how to set Favorites and get on our servers yet, but I'm getting there. I did direct connect to one of the {uZa} Extreme-CFT servers and get it set. Thanks for your help. I have messed with this several times over the years after upgrading to Win8 (and now Win10) and just was never able to get it working. You sir, are a steely-eyed missile man!

Thank you! Thank you! Glad to hear you got it setup on your machine and working!
Let me know when you might join us one Saturday night. I'll make sure that I put your Airfield Map on for some good memories. Your map supports TDM (Team Death Match), HTF (Hold The Flag), FT (Freeze Tag).

Yeah, some good spawn-slaughter TDM memories on that map... There were some of those old maps, like GermanTown and Avalanche and such, that I played so many times I felt like I grew up there... That might be mostly been UO I guess. Which IP and port is the server you guys use for Saturday night Innocent?

So once again Innocent, thanks for the help getting it working with Win10...
Enjoyed the Saturday Night on Server 3 action last night! Like old times to get on Vent... I mean Teamspeak, and run around on some of those old maps. Even got to play on my old Airfield map that I haven't laid eyes on in a few years.
The fact that I haven't played COD in like 2 years made for some pretty bleak scores, the tethered goat in Jurassic Park comes to mind, but it was a lot of fun.
Good times...

Worth the upload? You mean download? The download takes 30 mins or less depending on your connection speed...
