Just called in for the forth time in three weeks. Twice in one week. As much as I hate my job, I hate consistent call ins, but what am i supposed to do? I've got a nasty cough leading to a number of different problems. I get fevers throughout the day, coughing up gunk. My job requires a lot of physical labor, and so when things really start getting busy and I am required to hustle, my cough just attacks me and leaves my throat in pain, and me short in stamina. And the more I go to work, the longer I am sick. I've had this for almost three weeks now, and I feel exactly how I did a week ago.
So basically, if I call in and call in, eventually I'm going to lose my job and income, but if I go to work, I just get more sick. Bah, oh well. I'll call my manager and see if he can just give me a few days on leave to get better. If not, then another job I'll have to seek.
