Coming from me don't go into the back country this season (the mountains) I got caught up in a avalanche this week one of the scariest moment of my life. My jacket and ski pants were torn up so bad i had deep cuts on my left side of my back above my hip. I broke 3 fingers on my left hand, and 3 ribs on the left. If i hadnt had my avalanche control back-pack and kept my ski poles straight out to keep me above i wouldn't be here, i was buried for 5 minutes before my bro and 5 friends got me out. They said i had been dragged for close to 900 feet, im kinda pissed though my skies got really warped and messed up, needs a few weeks of repairing.
The light snow might look tempting but the lower levels about 30-40cm is so weak, shutter cracks are occurring all the time, when you ski and the snow line hundreds of yards from you starts sliding down causing a avalanche. But its a warning that most here don't need, heh. i just gotta let it out some times.

That is so scary!!! I am so glad to hear you are safe and I hope you are on the mend quickly.
I just read on the news of all the avalanche warnings.

Wow that is scary! Hope you recover soon!
It is not uncommon for people that are local to New Orleans to take a Vacation during Mardi Gras season and go to Disney World or go Sking... I think I'll just stick to watching the parade go by on solid ground...
In New Orleans people may also ask, "Snow? What's that?" LOL

Thanks everyone, i will be back to normal in a few weeks. I tried golf once not my kinda game  and Innocent enjoy your Mardi Gras, i have always wanted to see it, one day i will. _________________

Well if that one day ever does come, when you want to come to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, let me know! I can always give you tips on good places to catch the fun. Either crazy adult oriented places, including Bourbon, or family oriented places. I enjoy the family oriented places better, a lot less drama, and more relaxing and easier to just watch the parade go buy and enjoy the atmosphere, while getting some good throws too...

Dang capt. glad to hear your ok... Stick to smaller hills  ... We have hills that are only couple hundred feet high so I dont know what its like to ski the mountains. Take care of yourself and get rest.. Stranger
