I thought I would post this here.....

I am looking at purchasing a polarzing filter for a lens. The lens I have is...

Canon EF 20mm f/2.8 USM Lens

Any suggestions on one?

Polarizing filters are bought for thier intended use. To reduce the glare form reflected sunlight or the reduce the glare from studio light sets. If you are just going to be using it outdoors and not trying to critcally adjust metallic or acrylic reflections, then just get any one and try it out. I use Hoya, but have used Tiffen. The Hoya one I use now is called the CIR-Polarizing. Your camera should work just fine with this one, but I recommend some test shots for you to get the feel of the percentage of reduction. "You might need a stepping ring" to invert the threads, so take your lens with you when you purchase the filter. They can make a lot of difference. For metallic reflections you need a ploarizing light source, ie... polarizing filters on your lights. I recommend Visual Persuits Inc out of Chicago. Their filters are fantastic. Hope this helps.
