My neighbors are Muslim, i have Muslim friends, I know Persians, Arabs, Uzbecks, Lebanese, Palestinians, Jordanians.

Capt. Canada has a point, I mean in just the last few years Christian terrorists have:

4. Threatening to wipe Israel from the ........Noooo, that wasn't them either.

Damn, I'll keep looking, I'm sure there has to be something bad they have done recently. Oh, WAIT! There is that group of wack jobs in Kansas who think God hates everyone but them. Yeahhh, that'll do. Of course the overwhelming majority of Christians denounce these nuts as not behaving as true Christians and make it clear that they do not enjoy the support of other Christian churches.

I know some Muslims, too. I haven't heard any of them denounce terrorism or the attacks on Americans. Maybe they just didn't do so where I could hear them. Oh, and as for the Muslims in America, those who obey the laws of this country are as welcome as anyone. However, those who continue to foment terror and violence in advancing their religion (Yes, even in this country) are deserving of our attention and derision.

Bottom line; Obama did not direct the P.O. to create the stamp (See Snopes.com), however, the stamp was approved by the P.O. and will be for sale. The P.O. has the right to create them and we have the right not to buy them. Ain't freedom wonderful?!

By the way, using the Lord's name in vain is also disrespectful to the Christians who frequent these forums. I'm just saying...

I took the first post as not being an attack on muslims, but a call to protest in a peaceful way if you agree.

Using God as a curse word is not the way to call a statement disrespectful of another religion.
Very counterproductive, and offensive.

I won't buy this stamp, because I am a Christian and believe this country was created by and for Christians and my country is at war with terrorists that are mainly muslims.
I believe in total freedom of religion, but there is a one-sided religious war going on.
You can turn a defensive blind eye toward it if you want, but there are many muslims that want to take over the world and destroy Jews, Christianity, and our freedoms.
Basically the problem is that it only takes a few bad apples to ruin it for everyone.
Right now most of those bad apples are muslims.
I don’t hate muslims and I don’t think all of them are bad people, but their religion has gotten a black eye due to several issues in the past years by those who claimed to be muslims.
If muslims or others want to buy the stamp, then let them because it is still a free country.
And I chose to never buy one, and I won’t make any death threats or bomb threats, ect……..
I will just simply protest and not buy it.
Muslims have the right and sometimes do, avoid things that are Christian or Jewish.
So what! Who cares!
As long as it is a peaceful protest, I am okay with it.
I also have friends of many different religions and I love them all the same.
We have never argued or fought over their religion.
That would only heat up and serve no purpose anyways.
If I have questions, they are always happy to answer and vice versa.

That is not true, and I don't believe even you follow that logic.

First, all advertising is done on Generalization and Stereotyping, and it has made many trillions of dollars off of that logic.

Second, everyone does it on probably a daily basis.
A woman walking down a secluded area is going to be more fearful of a street gang than a couple little girls.
Put a large group of people that do not know each other into a room.
It won't take long and most of those with similiar life styles will be talking together.
I could go on with tons of examples, but let me stop and just say it's in our nature to Generalize and Stereotype.

I do agree with you that sometimes it is not a good thing, but you can't state that it is always wrong or never gets anyone any where.
There are many times in life that it is very wise and intelligent to Generalize and Stereotype.

Well I dont feel like arguing this, we all live in very different enviroments.
I had a Conservative backgrond. my Neighbours are Muslim, Jewish, lutheran, Sikh, and Hindu. and Working European Immigrants of random Orthodox's and so on.

My defense of Muslims is that people do Stereotype them and anyone else ill defend, is a Muslim from Malaysia the same as an Arab shiite from Iraq? Or is a Uzbeck from Central Asia the same as a Muslim Lybian?

once you actually meet people from pretty much all around the world stopping over on one block is amazing. I Suggest everyone to try out the Multicultural life at least once

This is very true and unfortunate, but again like I stated I have no problem being a friend of a muslim.
And YES muslims have a negative stereo type, but many consider it to be warranted, including myself.

Is she stereo typing when she gets nervous about a man following her, but not worried if it was a little girl or a puppy?
Well yes, and it is justified.
The vast majority of rapists are men and being in a secluded area makes it worse.
If the vast majority of rapists were girls or puppies, then the situation would change.
Is the woman wise for being concerned?
Of course, and all woman should always be extra aware of their surroundings as to lessen the chances of being raped by some idiot pervert of a man.

When the majority of terrorism around the world is done by muslims, how can you not expect it to give their religion a bad reputation?
When muslim terrorists around the world start getting outnumbered by Baptists, Catholics, Atheists, or any other group of terrorists you can imagine, then everyone will start giving them the same poor stereo type.

And if you really want me to believe that you don’t stereo type, or that it’s not wise, then try the following:
Walk through a gang area in Mexico City -Mexico, Los Angeles -California, Phoenix -Arizona, or Chicago -Illinois at midnight on a Friday or Saturday.
Then tell yourself not to be fearful because that would just be stereo typing!
Or ask a hot babe to do the same, and if she refuses, then try calling her a fool for stereo typing.
Not all men are rapists, not every area is unsafe at night, why stereo type then?
As a matter of fact, the majority of areas on this planet are safe to walk thru at midnight and the majority of men are not rapists.
So why would she even dare to stereo type?
Is it right or wrong for her to stereo type, is she an idiot or wise?
Stereo Typing - EVERYONE DOES IT and it’s not always bad or good!
Because of my disgust with SOME muslims, I refuse to buy the stamp.
There is nothing wrong with a PEACEFUL PROTEST.
I do not treat my muslim friends any different than any other friend, but I won’t glamorize their religion because of the many poor examples that can be listed.
Anyone attacks our Allies or the USA because of our form of government, our religious heritage, and/or our freedoms should always be prepared to not be on our good list.
The same would be expected for any other nation or individual.

Try not to get tolerant and passive confused!
Remember the difference between knowledge and wisdom:
Knowledge tells you there is a booger in your nose, and Wisdom tells you when to pick it!
