Why is it that 99% of the religious and 99% of the non-religious automatically assume that the theories of religion and the theories of evolution are both mutually exclusive??? If you actually read the available materials, one may conclude with almost certainty that both theories can and probably do co-exist... Unfortunately, both sides of the argument are virtually fanatical in their beliefs that the other group is wrong, and neither will even consider that the other 2% of us might have it right...
I don't know if they can both be correct, but at the very least one must be correct because there is no other choice: The universe created itself or someone created it. If you can think of a third, let me know.
I don't think both can be true, this would be contrary to thousands of scripture. The only reason to believe both is because one cannot make up their mind what to believe. One example of thousands: Evolutionism believes death eventually brought man into the world, but creation states that man brought death into the world. And I could literally state thousands of more conflicts.
Evolutionism and Creation both agree 100% with the science; it is the interpretation of the science that they tend to disagree on.
Both are impossible to prove and both take faith to believe in them.
We live in a country with religious freedom, so I have no problem with someone being an Atheist.
Back on topic: I do agree with Matt that it is hard to believe in evolutionism when I look at the created universe, but we all have are different thoughts when looking and I think he was just stating his thoughts. So don’t be offended and don’t worry we won’t hunt you down and kill you.
