I can take a legitimate loss. But to lose the face of your football team at a time when we had bama reeling and on their heels like we did is just miserable.
I'm more saddened that such an outstanding individual like Colt McCoy didn't get to play out the biggest game of his tremendous collage career than the fact that my team lost.
I won't complain about being national champions but it did suck how we had to do it. I believe Bama was suffering from some major pre-game jitters, and both teams would have settled in to make a close match up. Not having McCoy was much like when Ingram went out for so long for Bama. As soon as he come back in, he proved why he was the Heisman winner.
I will say this though: Texas's secondary was THE best we played all season. Our offensive line got trampled a few times, but a lot of the time McElroy had time to get rid of the ball but there was nothing open.
Anyway....good game to everyone. It's been a fun ride and I actually get to celebrate a championship.
ROLL TIDE!!!
