MY BEST FRIEND IN IOWA DIED ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO FROM CANCER OF THE ESOPHAGUS AND I WANTED TO DO SOMETHING IN HIS HONOR. MY HAIR CUTTER GOT MARRIED AND MOVED TO HAWAII SO SOMEONE SUGGESTED I GROW MY HAIR FOR LOCKS OF LOVE, THE GROUP THAT MAKES HAIRPIECES FOR KIDS GOING THROUGH CHEMO. WELL, 3 YEARS LATER I DONATED 14"...........      NOW THAT'S A HOLE IN MY HEAD    QUITE THE COMMITMENT, BUT WORTH EVERY DAY. (even if they can't use my hair they will sell it to defray the cost of making hairpieces for kids. So it's a win win.)
