Its says the Ram is for an i7, you might want to double check and make sure that its not triple channel, AMD doesnt support that yet. :ugeek:

Yup. That's a 3 piece kit. Not gonna work with those crappy AMD procs.

Before all the AMD lovers get in a tiff, I am only playing around! :)

I don't think that'll be an issue being that the memory controllers are built in the CPU and not RAM module dependent. The new AMD Phenom II chips do now support it as long as the motherboard is DDR3. It just means you get three sticks from the same wafer, and technically a slighter lower cost as opposed to individually. I could be wrong, by I think my logic is correct.

The AMD quad core Phenoms are getting pretty good reviews. Stack up well against the i7 at a nice price. I think if I was buying right now and had lots of money, I'd be tempted by the i7 though, just for bragging rights!

;-)

Correct in that the AM3's support DDR3. Incorrect that they support Triple Channel. Still just Dual Channel to my knowledge.

Yes, that looks like a nice system for sure.

What will you be upgrading from?
