Just made myself a pretty good breakfast. Was watching a BBC show Two Greedy Italians, about 2 old guys who travel back to italy where they are from to see how food has changed since they lived there 40 years ago.
well they made this dish Ricotta dumplings in a sauce, pretty much just saw them do it in a few minute segment but i sucked up all the knowledge in that few minutes to make it for myself, and its even better then when i had it at Capo a Italian restaurant months ago.
Easy to make, 3 Egg yolks, 100-150grams of Ricotta mixed together, dash of nutmeg, black pepper, salt, and a dash of oregano then about a cup or cup of half of flour, depends on how wet the ricotta is. mix into a ball of dough cut into quarters, roll into this snakes about 2cm wide, 1cm high. cut into what looks like gnocchi, then boil them in salted water for 5 minutes. the sauce is 3 cloves of Garlic, 1 fresh chili pepper into hot olive oil, a jar or can of halved tomatoes, salt and pepper, then a handful of fresh basil chopped. i added a bit of sweet wine about 2tbsp wasn't in the show but i had some in the fridge.
great, would be good for lunch, or a appetizer to a bigger Italian meal

We've been working on the garden for quite a few weekends and it is now time to enjoy the beautiful colours. Hope you will have a sunny day!
