I lost my voice, not fun at all.
I'm not sure if I can play any battlefield games with my laptop, or CoD for that matter,

I'm glad you asked! Here's a link to the info on the game, including the specifics of each version of the game you buy. It's an RPG, but still a strong shooter, so it shouldn't be too hard for any FPS fans to get into this. I also recommend somewhere down the road you play the other two, at least Mass Effect 2. It's a great series.
