I hate this game more and more with each expansion as they continue to dumb the game down for the average gamer who can't take the time to learn the ins and outs.

Yup. I've pre-ordered it and will be in the Open Beta which is starting this Sunday (VERY odd day to start an OB but at least it's on a 3 day weekend).

I do have it downloaded. I can get to the login screen, but now I am getting a couple errors. I read on one of the forums there is an issue with Windows 7.

Nope.

Now you know you'll not be able to connect yet right? If you attempt to login you should get a "Failed to Authenticate" message.

And yes, I'm running Win7 with no issues.

So have I I've been playing on greymane pretty much since WoW has started and aion is just another mmo trying to out-do WoW it will be old news in a few months and ya aion is doing well..where you ask? japan...and ya go ahead buy and install aion..your basiclly REQUIRED to download a trojan..I know what aion does...It requires you to install something called "Game Guard" which pretty much tells you what you can and what you CANT do on your computer..you wanna visit the uZa fourms while playing Aion?,You wanna play call of duty? WoW? Or any other game you have? It probably wont let you..it takes control of your computer (Because in places like japan and china they dont have free reign over computers like we do here in america nothing is private over there) Trust me im not just some rabid WoW fan-boy Ive searched and looked up aion and what it requires

And Incase you "TLDR" at the link...Pretty much game guard goes through your computer scanning everything and I mean EVERYTHING what websites you've been to, your chat logs, what you play, what you look at, the pictures on your computer just about every single possible thing you can think off...game guard probably looks through it so some random japanese dude can see what you've been up to

It's perfectly understandable for you not to trust them. I'm not going to frown upon your opinion and beliefs. It's your right to be a paranoid schizophrenic if you so choose by gosh!

GameGuard isn't much different than PunkBuster. Most people don't like it and yea, it can make things a royal PITA if things aren't set up properly, but hey, if it keeps the number of cheaters down, I'm all for it.

Just remember how all this started.... You didn't have to get so butt hurt just because I stated an opinion that you didn't agree with. Seriously... Just relax and enjoy the games you enjoy playing. Stop being so concerned about what someone else thinks of your precious WoW.
